WRTC ESL-BILINGUAL TEACHER / SCHOOL PERSONNEL TRAINING PROGRAM
The Wind River Tribal College had been awarded an ESL/English as a Second Language/Bilingual Education Teacher – School Personnel Training grant from The U.S. Department of Education. The purpose of this project is to prepare teachers and other school personal to focus on both the theory and practice of language sensitive pedagogy that builds towards the specific attention to English as a Second Language methodology to provide effective services to LEP (Limited English Proficient) students and to be trained in the socio-cultural processes in the local tribal communities and classrooms.
